Honors Study Abroad: Iceland, June 2017 – Sneak Peek

Greetings, Honors Freshmen!

The Honors Program here at USM is offering a unique study abroad experience for summer 2017. As the recipient of two unique funding sources, we are excited to share that we are able to offer a full travel scholarship to rising Sophomores who are interested in enrolling in our summer study abroad course. Where? Iceland

Class topic: Studying the Fishing Industry in Maine and Iceland

What does the scholarship pay for? Travel, lodging, meal per-diem, and entry fees to museums and sites.

What does the student pay for? Tuition and fees

Who is eligible? Honors Freshman who maintain a 3.5 GPA, have declared the Honors minor, and who plan to have successfully completed two Honors classes by the end of Spring 2017.

What is the application process? **updated: Apply here!** Interested students will submit a resume, an essay, and complete an in-person interview. Don’t worry! We’ll be offering resume writing workshops in November. The formal application will be posted soon.
