Icelandic Music You Didn’t Know You Knew

Iceland has a robust, thriving, active music scene that offers up international sensations, bubbly techno, and even Reggae for our favorite TV shows, movies, and road trip mixes. While you book your flight for the next music festival, check out some of the artists that you may not have known you knew! Enjoy!

Björk
Arguably the most iconic Icelandic singer, songwriter, and actress with an ethereal voice and eclectic fashion sense. Some of her most recognizable work includes:

Kaleo
This band filmed their hit track Way Down We Go in the (dormant) Icelandic volcano Þrihnukagigur  and that same track is also featured in Orange is the New Black season-four trailer.
